NDT Inspections — Coordinated With Your CVIP, Edmonton
One visit. One schedule. One set of paperwork.
Non-destructive testing coordinated through certified partners and booked alongside your CVIP or annual inspection. We don't perform NDT ourselves — the certification is what makes the result worth having — but we arrange it, we fold the findings into the same repair plan, and you deal with one shop instead of three.

Proof of capability
Capability you can check before you commit
Mach 6 is an authorized CVIP inspection station and Sennebogen's authorized service provider, working out of a 40,000 sq. ft. Edmonton facility with overhead cranes, a dedicated heavy-duty alignment bay and the diagnostic tooling to confirm a fault instead of guessing at it.
What gets tested, and what needs it
What NDT covers
Non-destructive testing checks a component for cracks and flaws without taking it apart or damaging it — magnetic particle, dye penetrant, ultrasonic and radiographic methods, depending on the material and what is being looked for. It is what lifting equipment, booms, hooks and slings, structural welds and pressure-adjacent components get inspected with, usually on an annual or regulated cycle rather than because something looks wrong.
If you operate cranes, picker trucks, material handlers or lifting attachments, you already have this on a calendar somewhere. The question this page answers is whether it has to be a separate trip.
How it works here
Coordination, not capability — and that's the point
NDT Coordinated Through Certified Partners
“We don't perform it. We arrange it, and we'll tell you who does.”
NDT is scheduled through certified partners, because the certification is what makes the result worth having. You are told which partner and what method before it is booked — no sublet work happens under a Mach 6 label without you knowing whose name is on the certificate.
NDT Scheduled Alongside CVIP & Annual Inspection
“It's one visit, not two.”
Normally arranged alongside a CVIP or other annual inspection, so the unit comes off the road once. Two inspections, two calendars and two sets of downtime is the default in this market; combining them is the entire reason to book it here. And if you run your own shop: the sublet gets arranged while the unit is already down for its CVIP, so the inspection cycle doesn't clog your bays either.
One Point of Contact — Inspection & Repair
“One number to call, whichever part of it went wrong.”
One point of contact for the inspection, the NDT and any resulting repair. When a finding lands, it does not become a three-way conversation between you, the shop and the testing outfit — it becomes a line on the same repair plan as everything else found that week.
NDT Findings Folded Into the Repair Plan
“A finding shouldn't become a second project.”
Findings fold into the same repair plan as the rest of the inspection, and the paperwork is kept together in the unit's compliance file. A crack found by NDT is a welding and structural job — and that work happens here, in the same visit, wherever parts and scope allow.
The commitments in writing
Two promises. Both in writing.
The Downtime Promise
Inspection results within 48 hours of your scheduled booking — guaranteed. A comprehensive estimate within 24 hours of diagnostic completion. Worst case, that's 72 hours from drop-off to a number you can act on — and you'll hear from us before then, not after. Every unit leaves with a condition report and a digital vehicle inspection you can make decisions from. No surprises. No delays. Just results.
The Estimate Lock
Serial estimating — approve one number, then watch it grow — is one of the top three issues for fleets in this industry. Our Estimate Accuracy & Approval Policy ends it: once approved, your estimate is locked on price and scope. Changing a locked estimate takes manager approval — and nothing changes without yours.
Scope, on this page: Both promises cover the inspection and repair work we perform. Sublet NDT runs on the certified partner's schedule — we book it, we chase it, and we tell you the date before you commit the unit.
How the process works
Four steps, same order, every time
Same sequence whether it's one unit or a fleet program — that's what makes the 48-hour and 24-hour commitments something we can actually hold.
Book the slot
Give us the unit and the plate. We schedule around your run, not the other way round — and we book the NDT and the CVIP into the same window.
Inspect to the checklist
Same checklist, every unit, every time. Findings photographed as they're written up, ours and the partner's kept in one file.
Results inside 48 hours
You get the inspection outcome and any repair plan within 48 hours of your scheduled booking. Where a sublet NDT result is still pending, you'll know that and you'll know when it lands.
Repair and certify
Approved repairs done in-house — including structural welding — then re-inspected and documented so the paperwork holds up.
Every job leaves here with a record: what was inspected, what was found, what was approved and what was done. That record is what turns a repair into a maintenance history you can plan against.
FAQs
Questions fleets ask us
Do you perform NDT in-house?
No. NDT is coordinated and sublet to certified partners. We're straight about that because the certification is what makes the result worth having.
Why book it through Mach 6 then?
Because it lands in the same visit as the CVIP and the repairs, with one schedule and one set of paperwork instead of three.
How far ahead do I need to book?
Booking it with your CVIP is what keeps it to one visit; leaving it to the last week is what turns it into two.
What happens if the NDT finds a crack?
It becomes a line on the same repair plan as everything else found that visit, quoted with parts and labour broken out. Structural welding is done in-house, so a finding doesn't send you to a second vendor.

Don't take the website's word for it
Ask to see the paper. A real inspection record and a locked estimate — and the name of the certified partner doing the testing, before you commit the unit.
